NicAL is an EU funded Marie Curie Industry- Academia Partnership Project (IAPP) between the Natural History Museum London and Sardes Nikel Madencilik operator of the Çaldağ nickel deposit in Turkey. The project was awarded €800,000 from the EU Framework 7 science budget.
The NicAL IAPP proposes a new joint intersectorial programme of fundamental mineralogical research linked directly to targeted metallurgical testwork on crystal-chemical scale to resolve issues and improve the process of simple atmospheric acid-leach processing.
